Journey fan since 1980. The first music album I ever bought was Escape.Journey has been my band and Neal Schon has been my idol since I was eleven years old. I guess you can say I'm pretty loyal. LOL

My first Journey concert (I still remember the date) was 12/14/86 at AVMC in Phoenix...Raised on Radio. I was bummed that Steve Smith and Ross Valory were no longer a part of the band but I was at a Journey concert! I bought a poster and a tour program and clung to them dearly as I watched the show. I loved their music so.

Though they broke apart, I still got a few peeks here and there. I saw Jon and Ross perform with Michael Bolton at my Gradnite (Disneyland '88). Saw Steve Perry on a solo tour in the early 90's. Saw Neal and Jon (and Deen, who knew!) when they were in Bad English. In '98 I was thrilled to hear they were touring again. I went to a few shows before I discovered the website and the many fans that got together before concerts. Now, eleven years after discovering the online community, I am still here enjoying the friendships that I have made. What a wonderful group of people you are!

I had the pleasure of unexpectantly meeting my idol (for the 1st time) in Las Vegas in '98. I went to The Hard Rock Cafe for a drink the night before their show. Shocked to see my teen crush at the bar, I approached him nervously (despite the many pleads of my friend not to!). Neal was so very very kind. Thank goodness! I shook uncontrollably when I left the restaurant and my eyes teared up. Thankfully it wasnt in front of him! LOL I was probably in shock. To this day, I am so nervous saying anything to him. It comes out as a mumble or I say something absolutely stupid! Perhaps it's best to just smile. And if I hear him say anything, all I hear are angels singing. I have no clue what he's saying because my mind goes blank LOL. I'm eleven all over again.
